SECTION A: CASE STUDY (50 marks)
Read the case study for this section attentively. The case study will be placed in the ASSESSMENT area of the Study Desk and is entitled: Managing a Systems Development Project at Consumer and Industrial Products, Inc.
Question 1 (15 marks)
Using the Motiwalla textbook, identify three criteria which influence the success or failure of an ERP implementation and are also represented in the case study. Describe each criterion and assess the project described in the case study in terms of that criterion.
Length: 300-400 words per criterion.

Assume you choose to argue that the integration of legacy systems with the ERP is a key criterion for ERP implementation success. You would than explain the nature of legacy systems and why their integration with the ERP is a key criterion for implementation success. Read the section entitled Anderson's Concerns on the final page of the case study. In the role of Anderson, write a memorandum to the IS Director explaining the current situation, commenting on the problems (and successes) of the project thus far and presenting your plan of attack.
