Marketing and Sale
My shop is going to sell second hand clothing and school equipments. The school clothing will be fixed up to make them appeal to market audience and look as good as new. Shoes are ranging from size 6-10 to make sure they fit the large majority of the school students. Blazer colour will be ranging from black to green and ties will have to types: gold and yellow stripes ties and dark green ties. We also sell school summer shirt as well as school badges and PE kits. School equipments are various in sizes and shapes. For example, I will sell 2 types of ruler, 15cm and 30 cm long. We will sell black, blue and red pens. Sharpeners and erasers will vary in shapes and sizes and pencils are HB only. I will also sell 1G USB and regular calculators.
My market target audience is students from local school especially those who live near the local area. They are the ones who have need for school equipments and school clothing it also can be for parents who are buying them for their children or for people who start school or who looking to buy cheaper school equipments and clothing. I will make posters and leaflets and spend some days giving them out to local residents. I can give them out outside of Bethnal Green station or put them houses and flats around my area. This will inform people about the opening of the shop and the shop is ready to serve.
In my shop there will be signs such as no smoking, which will prevent customers who are harming their health and others. There will be a fire distinguisher in case of emergency. Also, I will help customers when they are unsure about a product; giving them fastest information they can and support them within my power and responsibility. I will need to do weekly and monthly survey base on the statistic of product being bought. The results will help me to monitor restocking and giving me the information I need to consider decreasing or raising price of particular items in my shop. For instant, if people buying black pens more than blue pens then the price of black pens may be higher than blue pens and black pen will be restock in lager quality. I will consider changing price every 3 months and if necessary the price will raise in small amount to make sure people can still afford it.
There will always be competition in business. My competitions will be other shops around the area that selling the same items or service as my shop. I will have to compete for customers and resources. If I don’t have enough money, I won’t make enough profits to support the survival of my shop. I have to make sure there are cheaper items in my shop than the other ones. More people will come to my shop meaning
