Marketing

Marketing is a great tool used for helping a business achieve a multitude of different objectives. For example, if used properly, it can aide a business that is not doing very well to revive itself. It can also help a thriving company to increase profits exponentially. The purpose of marketing is to bring in new customers and grab their attention. Once this is accomplished, the customer needs to be assured that they need the featured product and no other business will suffice to provide the desired service. Another important feature to marketing is consistency. Thus, having an adequate amount of advertisements displayed in key locations, forcing the consumers to be view the marketing campaign frequently throughout their day.

There are many things that must be taken into consideration in regards to marketing. For one, it is important to demonstrate to the customers that a company is progressive. As people and ideas change, businesses must also adapt to the changes brought on by time or become obsolete. Along the same lines, it is crucial for company owners to be well educated and current in regards to trends. “People who work in the marketing department of companies try to get the attention of target audiences by slogans, packaging design, celebrity endorsement and general media exposure (dictionary.reference.com, 2007).” It is a proven successful marketing technique to anticipate change. Being able to change is the largest challenge to the success of a business. Thus, it is a priority to keep up with what’s in and what’s “hot” for the times. For that matter, it is also important to monitor who’s in and popular at the moment. It has become a common practice to include actors, actresses, and professional sports figures in an effort to promote the businesses particular product. It is oftentimes a huge asset to feature such well known people supporting the merchandise. It creates desirability to the consumer and can help in marketing
