TOPIC:
The topic of this research paper is media. Media is means of by which something is communicated, such as television. (Petley, 2001) Ever since television was introduced in 1952, it has become a significant part in the lives of many Canadians. (Ledingham, 1994) It is a way to, for 30 minutes disconnect from reality and get a glimpse into a life that seems perfect. Problems that arise in character’s lives are solved within 30 minutes in time for a happy ending. Real life is of course not like this. This distortion of reality depicted on television gives viewers unrealistic views on life. Thus, affecting them in a negative way.
