Watched a clip on self-leadership about paper airplanes. The obstacles were time pressure and the competition itself.
Mental Self-Leadership
• “The process of influencing oneself through the purposeful control of ones thoughts.”

Obstacle Thinking
• Challenging situations are used as an excuse to retreat from your goals
An Opportunity Thinker is someone who looks at challenging situations as motivation to work harder, increasing their desire to reach their goals.
Watched another clip about Jake and losing his eye vision to cancer. He was an opportunity thinker because he was being very positive about his situation.

Self Talk: Our dialogue with ourselves. What we tell ourselves.
All or Nothing Thinking: Black and white thinking. No gray area.
Watched a clip from Dead Poet Society about a kid forced to recite poetry. Represented self-talk. All or nothing. Gotta be perfect. The kid was future-telling. He was worried about what other people were going to think of him.
