Mexican Beaches
When people around the world think of Mexico they think of the history and its
beaches. This is because of Mexico’s booming tourism industry which caters to both
young and old from all corners of the world. In fact many of the beaches are covered with
tourist and not locals. In many ways it is important for us to value and appreciate the
relaxing beauty that these beaches offer and the extensive activities they provide. They
give us the opportunity to enjoy golf, tennis, swimming, water sports, and nighttime
attractions, not to mention the natural beauties like coral reef, cenotes, white sand
beaches, and clear ocean waters. The four most important beaches in Mexico are
Acapulco, Cancun, Ixtapa, and Playa del Carmen, each one offers something different to
its visitors.
Acapulco is known world-wide for its jet-set environment, it is even mentioned in
one of Frank Sinatra’s song “Come Fly with Me”. In reality Acapulco offers a lot to its
visitor from world renowned restaurants to beach side coconut drinks sold by the locals
Acapulco has something for everyone. It has championship golf resorts and an endless
array of water sport activities like jet skiing, banana boat rides, parasailing, and water
skiing all in the beautiful Acapulco bay. Not to mention the famous cliff diver of “la
quebrada” known for their plunge into the ocean. Without a doubt Acapulco is one of
Mexico’s most visited beaches.
Cancun is pretty much a paradise located in the Yucatan peninsula which attracts
many European as well as American and Canadian tourist. Mostly known for it white
sand beaches Cancun is and endless range of activities both on and off the water.
Recently Cancun was devastated by a hurricane which washed away its white sand
