Michael Jordan is a hero in my eyes. I chose Michael Jordan because he is a great basketball superstar. He is a great role model to all. I admire him because he has many accomplishments. He can achieve in everything he put his mind to. Michael Jordan has great family values. He has a wife named Juanita they have three children named Jeffery, Marcus, and Jasmine. Michael received a great education at the University of North Carolina while pursuing his dream to be in the NBA. The Chicago Bulls of the NBA drafted him in 1984. Right away he showed great ability and potential to win. Even though he was a newcomer he never gave up. He retired at the peak of his career to leave all of his fans mesmorized. Even after leaving the NBA Jordan continued being the great person he is. He helped create The Jordan Institute for Families which is located on the UNC campus. He donated one million to UNC which is the largest gift ever given by an active professional athlete to support the work.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. He is an American former NBA player. He attended Emsley A. Laney High School, where he played football , baseball, and basketball. He was cut from his freshman basketball team during his sophomore year for only being 5'11" and skinny. During his high school year his scoring average was 25 points per game. He began focusing more on basketball, practicing every morning before school with his high school varsity coach.
