Mixed School

Some people think that is better to educate boys and girls in seprate schools others however belive that boys and girls get more benifint from attending mixed school...

Discuess both these viewes and give your opinion.

The idea of attending mixed school has become a controversial issue .The supporters of this education heap up big arguments in its favour . They advocate its practice at large scale . While another group of people consider it a lethal weapon against our social traditions.

A heated argument given in the favour of this system is that developing countries are economically fragile. The resourses are not enough to stomach the expanses of separate educational institutions of boys and girls. Therefore we adopt coeducation.

This promotes fierce competetion in studies between boys and girls. This arouses the passion for work in them. The girls endeavour to beat boys and vice versa . It is due to this stiff competetion that the students demonstrate uncanny skills in learning. In this way the quality and the standard of education improves.

It is beneficial in confidence building. It helps to remove the shyness of boys and girls. It is the best teacher for art of living. It helps the boys and girls to understand  each other's problems

On the other side there are those who appose this system of education. They opine that the supporters of this system are given to self deception. If we analyse the social systems of those countries where this system is in vouge , we come to know the golden traditions of honour and nobility no more exist there.Instead the young boys and girls fall prey to uncontrollable passions of lust and lechery. In this way the educational institutions become showgrounds of vulgarity. This is why many girls in westren countries become unmarried mothers.

Young students lack maturity. If they could enjoy oppertunity of spending sometime in the company of opposite sex, it becomes hard for them to supress their passions .So free mixing of both sexes , instead of making poise of mind, makes restless.

The purpose of education is to prepare the youth for life.Man and woman are two wheels of vehicles of life. No doubt, they should move ownward at the same speed in the same direction. Therefore both should be trained and educated equally. But it is obviously unjust to form excuse of co-education from this need. The problems of women are different from those of men. Moreover the natural faculties are different from that of men. Th nature of responsibilities are different. Co-education creates many complexes and psycological abnormilities in both sexes. Therefore they should not be taught in the same institution.
