Modern World

In this day and age, a lot of people are engaged into the sports. So the modern Olympic Games are becoming more and more fashionable, in addition some countries trade off national heritage for holding the games. As I see it, I do not agree with that.

It has to be admitted that it is a good way to gain the reputation. However, everybody should realize that when the games take place in the historic facilities, it will destroy the environment significantly and maybe result in damage some equipment. For instance, Greenwich Park is a national heritage site, besides it has lots of trees which are 130 years old. This site would be used for the equestrian competition. Therefore, it would contribute to the "pruning" of some of these trees.

Furthermore, it is well known that the human being hold the Olympic Games in order to building a peaceful and better would. What's more, in this world, many countries compete for hosting Olympic Games. It is not worth to trade off the national heritage as well. They have forgotten the main thing of the Olympic spirit.
