Motivation and the Brain Paper
The brain is a perplexed organ in our body. Many have probed for years to understand that patterns that each person follows to view behavior, motivation, and thinking processes. The fuel that it takes to provide energy to get motivated needs to be supplied to conduct oneself. The energy required to power the muscles and neurons in the brain, because without this it is impossible to be motivated to achieve any goals. Motivation is the requirement to be driven to accomplish goals to achieve the desires that are inside each one of us. Some are more motivated to believe enough to accomplish barriers that block or cause temporary setbacks in achieving the goals. If we take care of the body that we have then our emotions, feelings, and energy will be focused on a more positive direction. Obstacles that are intrinsic in our environment can be overcome by careful evaluation and assessment through levels of maturity.
(CITED) - Physical energy, in contrast to psychological energy, has a material existence. It exists mainly in the form of glucose, which powers the brain and muscles. Without glucose, motivation would not be possible. When muscles run low on glucose an individual feels fatigued and is inclined to rest. The brain is a voracious user of energy and consumes proportionately way more glucose than the rest of the body. In order to function, the brain utilizes 25% of all glucose yet it comprises only 2% of the body's weight (Magistretti, 1999). There are instances when certain areas of the brain require more energy than others just as our legs use more energy than our arms do when bicycling. For example, part of information processing requires the formation of memories. When young and old rats learn a maze, glucose is used for energy in that part of the brain responsible for laying down memories. In the case of older rats, when their supply of glucose runs low, their memory for the maze becomes impaired (McNay et al., 2000; McNay & Gold, 2002; McNay et al., 2006).
One of the issues that affect the brain is our state of motivation in the variables that govern our bodies. Related to this variable is hunger like when our blood sugar drops because of a lack of food in our stomachs. When we need the fuel to eat, our brains motivates us to search out the need. As a basic rule, our bodies give us signs for the need to gathers, cook and eat food as the need increases to consume. When we deny our basic needs we are starving the body that we live in. And if the process of denial continues, it can have lasting effects on our long-term health. Denial of pain would be an example of this process that most go through, false pain brought on by stress. Stress is the number one killer related to our bodies and physical health. Hygiene, food consumption, and exercise play a huge part in how our brains and bodies respond to stress, worry, doubt, and concerns that are placed in front of us each day. Most of all the motivation and attention are in the controls of the prefrontal cortex. It is important is that if the damage to the prefrontal cortex can cause our human behavior to feel or assume purposeless, chaotic, and impoverished attitude despite having or losing some minimal in our cognitive skills.
In our observation we are able to view that our brain function and motivation are greatly influenced by every one of us. What this means is that all of us have the god given power to wake ourselves up or snap out of an unmotivated mode swing just by simply by altering our brain directions through a natural function. To view an example we can look at addictions as an alteration to the process.
The drug of choice by most is Caffeine. "Caffeine is the most widely consumed psychoactive material in the world". The second is Ethanol and that is primary material in alcohol that most people drink. And the third most popular addictive substance is Tobacco and is used in forms of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and smokeless tobacco and it delivers chemical called nicotine
