Christianity was born in Palestine around 33 AD. The founder of Christianity is a man named Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Christianity started as a cult born from Judaism. Before his teachings, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and had a vision where he received the blessing of God. Jesus started his teaching when he was roughly around 30 yrs old. He also stated healing the sick, performing miracles and interpreting the Mosaic laws in a new way. Jesus selected 12 main followers with whom one was Peter. After a few years, Jesus was crucified and three days later rose from the dead and instilled faith in his followers. Cristianity grew from then on in the Roman empire and eventually became the national religion in 380 AD. Istumental for the growth was a conformed Jew named Paul who started many churches throughout the Roman Empire and whose letters to those churches were published in the new teatament. Christianity started as Catholic and the separated to Greek Orthadox and Roman Catholic in 1054 AD. In 1517 A German monk, Martin Luther, started a reformation which later became the Protestant movement. From then Chritianity broke into different denomination which is divided into 15 families. Today Christianity is the largest religion.

Mohammad was the founder of Islam and was born in 570 AD. He was raised by his extended family after his parents died ( father died before his birth and his mother died while he was 6 yrs). Mohammed was first introduced to the Arabic polyitic religions but soon became dissatisfied with the beliefs of the pre-Islam Arabic era.
