My Life with Music

Self-Biographic Essay

Music is one of the most powerful and wonderful things in my life. My life without melodies and harmonies would be totally empty. Listening to different tunes really help me to de stress, relax, and even brings an urge of motivation at times. Wherever I may be, there is sure to be music playing somewhere. Like driving in the car, sitting at home, or just walking the city streets. When I was younger I did not have much interest into music. As I grew up, I came to grow fond of music. As of now I listen to any genre of music from hip hop/rap, to country, and even some rock or a little pop.

My interest in music has never brought me to actually perform or be in a band. The effects that music can have on our emotions are tremendous, as it can bring people to a flood of tears to bursts of laughter. It also has the ability to truly create an image.

The three major roles that music has played in my life are focus, motivation, and understanding. I have found music to be very motivating. The lyrics and beats in the music were really uplifting and motivational. It brought a feeling to really want to go out and crush my opponent. No matter I was happy, sad, tired, or angry. It was something about that music and atmosphere that made me want to go out there and give all I got.

As someone with ADHD, music really has helped me with my focusing on what I am doing at the time. It has helped me all throughout high school and still to this day with college. As with all classes, there is times where I have to study and I tend to have problems doing so in a room full of silence. To stir things up a little bit I have always listened to any genre of music to keep my mind off everything else. Music not only helps with
