Nature and Logic
Nature of Logic as it relates to critical thinking. Nature of logic relates to critical thinking as I perceive it, is considering the facts and reasoning with logic to come up with a conclusion. An instance in my life where my perception was far from reality was when I perceive that my father would beat the battle with cancer. What I thought was going on is that his body was stronger than ever to fight off this horrible disease. I just knew without a doubt the man that looked to for advice and encouragement could overcome anything even this disease. He had never complained not one day about how he really felt inside, his will was strong and he epitomized what strength should be like for anyone with such an illness of this degree.
What was truly going is that day-by-day little by little cancer was slowly taking his life away. He truly has the whole family convinced that any day now he would be back to his normal life. There was such a difference with the perception of reality being that I knew he was sick but the actual reality was how sick he really was.
The end result of what happened was that reality of his death due to lung cancer. I’ve learned to make sure I know the facts and details of any situation whether it’s relating to an illness or whether it’s relating to and everyday situation. My critical thinking process has changed to make sure that logically judgments are made and precise decisions are done to understand what the out come will be. Also my critical thinking process has changed over the time, I now know from experience how to logically think about things before perceiving the facts of what I don’t know or what I can’t change. The Critical Thinking process is very important to the way that we process our thoughts.
