ABSTRACT

Nucor Corporation is the leading steel manufacturer in United States currently and they pioneered a special method of manufacturing steel which is, "mini-mill" concept. With that Nucor was able to produce steel with scrap metal in an electric furnace with a reduced cost. As well as its technology, Nucor is well known for its Management Methodologies and Human Resources Management principles.

This coursework provides an analysis on the key factors behind Nucor's success. These methodologies are a major trend in the industry as they were proven successful with Nucor's industry leading productivity ratio and higher profit margin.

This Coursework further describes the concept of control charts with relation to a given scenario.
