Concerning the OJ Simpson case, I think everyone had a feeling he was guilty. It’s a shame because of flaws in the collection of evidence, a seemingly obvious murderer got away with it. As I followed the trial, even my 7 year old mind knew that he was guilty. It wasn’t until later that I found out why he was let off. I agree with James that there are other things that should be covered in the new but at the same time it’s the public’s attraction to the celebrity cases that generates so much media attention.

News stations always want to have the breaking news and the top stories. The want to keep people interested and have the most viewers. I don’t think if the media did cover things like business corruption and those sorts of things while another channel had celebrity breaking news on it that the first channel would have many viewers.
