Uniform motion
Abstract
This is a research paper for Physics 1 on the subject of uniform motion of an object. The purpose of the paper is to study the uniform motion of an object and to find: the mean velocity of it, the distance covered after 100 seconds and the time needed for the body to cover 2 kilometers . I have studied a motorcycle moving on a straight line and the following table of distance and time is recorded.

Introduction
The following study is important in order to understand the uniform motion of an object. Moreover it is important because it illustrates the application of the theory learnt in class. After the completion of the experiment I must be able to find the mean velocity of the motorcycle, the distance covered after 100 seconds and the time needed for the motorcycle to cover 2 kilometers The experiment was made with the assistance of a friend who had a timer. I rode a motorcycle while my friend was recording the distance covered every one second using the dashboard of the motorcycle and the timer.
Materials and Methods
Materials:
• Motorcycle: BMW GS1200
• Additional Dashboard: Motorcycle Dashboard SS111
• Timer : ASA-Timer 2
Methods:
Velocity = displacement/time (V= S/t) (1)
? S= V*t V: slope (of a displacement respect to time graph) (2)
? V1 = the slope from the Best Fit Line
? V2 = ?V/n (the average of velocities )
General Intent
From type (1) we can find the velocity of the motorcycle in every second.
