My Personal Goals
Personal goals asks the basic question: "what do you want to do with your life?" I believe most people would agree that achieving all our potential, being the best that we can be is desirable. However, achieving goals is not always possible with the pressures and demands of everyday life. I find to just stop trying to achieve or succeed extremely easy. This is the beginning of a new year, new challenges, new roadblocks but most importantly, new personal goals.
Seeing friends and family all around me buying homes, new cars, receiving their degrees, starting families, and succeeding has made me start to contemplate the direction of my life and want to take control over my own happiness. This brings me to my first personal goal of returning to school and obtaining my bachelor's degree. There were a few reasons why I have put off returning to school for so long including money, time, and fear. My reasons for wanting to return to school outweighed the excuses for not wanting to return. The demand for Accountants with bachelor degrees is continuing to grow and there is a need to take new courses to remain viable in today's competitive workforce. Continuing my education is also part of my personal satisfaction. I'd like to build on knowledge that I already have and gain a new perspective on the learning process. I believe, for me, graduating with a bachelor's degree will be the most fulfilling, gratifying life experience as a young adult.
My next personal goal is to plan a wedding and get married. I have been in a relationship with someone now for over 7 years and we just recently became engaged. We have had a secure and solid relationship for a long time now and feel that getting married is the next logical step. We have decided that we want to be together forever, knowing each other's faults and failings. This goal will be very difficult
