Personal Perspective Paper Week 2
When I began my college quest some time ago, my goal was to obtain a bachelors degree in Accounting from Morehouse College. Next, on my list of goals, was to obtain a Masters degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. After completing my bachelors at Morehouse College, life happened and I forgot about getting a MBA. I recently went on an interview for a professional position in my company. During the interview, I repeatedly tried to convince the interviewer that my skills in accounting had not diminished after being out of the field for a couple of years. It was at this point that I realized I needed more education.
Not long after the interview, I attended a group meeting at work where the topic of discussion completing your education. A team of recruiters from a local college hosted the meeting. Honestly, I did not listen to over half the stuff they presented until I heard one of the recruiters say graduate degree. It was at this point I began to listen. I received all the information I needed and began to contemplate what my future would be like if I had an advanced degree.
I began to research the options that were available to me. I gathered a list of schools that could accommodate my work schedule. I talked to the recruiters at the different universities. Some of the universities offered online degrees and some offered a more traditional approach in obtaining a graduate degree. After listening to the sales pitches from the recruiters, and considering what was best, I decided on the University of Phoenix.
What I expect to gain from completing my Masters of Business Administration program is several things. I expect to gain personally from this program. I expect to gain socially from this program. From a vocational standpoint, I expect to gain from this program. Last but not in the least, I expect to gain financially from this program. I expect this whole experience to change my life.
My personal gain will come from the work performed to complete this process. I will have to perform many tasks I have not performed in a long time. I will have to write
