The objective of this paper is to answer the following questions: How did I decide to pursue my Master in Business Administration (MBA) and What do I expect to gain from completing my MBA program? After 6 years of weighing the pros and cons of obtaining my master’s, I finally decided that it would be the next step I would take in my life. I had become frustrated with the degree I had chosen to obtain and knew something had to be done. I had previously been looking on websites and in newspapers for jobs; I noticed that human resources had a great deal of open good paying positions. I also thought back to the conversation with my friend as to how much she was making. I then began taking action by looking at numerous schools to see what MBA programs offered. I had been in contact with the University of Phoenix for at least 2 years and kept putting off getting started in their MBA program. The enrollment counselor did an excellent job in following up every few months
