Picking up the Pieces
Picking up the pieces of your life can not only take a long time, but an experience you will never forget. Why? One might ask, because that pain will always be a reminder of what you went through and how you made it to the end of a long journey. It could be anything that can hurt you, for example; death of a loved one, failing relationship, etc. These are the things that help learn to go through life of not holding back, to live life to the fullest. Some will be to stubborn to move on or even try to pick up the pieces and rebuild off of it.
Like my girlfriend and I or ex, we where dating for 1 year and 2 months, now some say thats not long but for me it almost felt like forever. It's a long time to be with one individual, I am 21 I should be dating all kinds of girls and getting a feel for what may be out there for me, but i cared to much to let go. It shocked me of how hard it can be to really move on, because my mind was still stuck as if i was still with her. i remembered the smell of her hair, the softness of her skin, and how fast my heart would beat when I see her, its beats so fast I could dance to the them! It just makes it that much harder to pick up the pieces and go on with life.
I learned to toughing up and take things into my own hands again, I accepted that what happened was done and that we both have said our peace and went our own ways...and just like that she was out of my life. That was probably the hardest to watch, I remember the tears trickeling down my face at the site of it, it was harsh...but reality kicked in for the first time.
