  • Friendly participants
  • Devoted fellow friends
  • I am so glad that so many special people have been able to join us this morning
  • I would like to thank everyone for coming today

Para 2:

  • I am ____ as the President of Chess Society
  • I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you here
  •  Our chess club is indeed honored to be hosting this tournament and we are pleased to have you all as our participants
  • I am happy to see this tournament actually receives  good response
  • I could see that many of you all actually have keen interest in playing chess which is a very good pastime

 

Para 3:

  • There are a few objectives of organizing this tournament
  • Firstly, we can learn good moral values throughout this activity
  • We learn to respect each other
  • When you respect others, you will be respected too
  • One must always be humble in victory
  • We shall not be arrogant and know that there are much more people who are better than us
  • We learn to preserve in defeat and not being arrogant
  • If you being arrogant, people will keep a distance from you

Para 4:

  • Secondly, playing chess is a good way for us to occupy our free time
  • During weekend, we are always free and have nothing to do
  • Instead of loitering in the mall, we can play chess to fill up our time
  • There are many teenagers like to go to cyber café and play online games
  • This will affect their studies and addicted to it
  • Indeed, playing chess is a better pastime

  • Moreover, we can make new friends in this activity
  • Friend is a very important need for human being
  • We need friends so that we would not be lonely
  • Friend is someone you communicate to and share your daily stories
  • We can meet new people from other school and even exchanging ideas with one another
  • The bonds between other school will also be tighten

  • However, winning and losing are not important
  • The main stream of this activity is to learn good values, occupy our free time and wide spread our friendship
  • Once again, I would like to welcome all the participants and wish everyone best of luck in the tournament from A to Z
