Policy and Practices

A. GENERAL STATEMENT

Policy and practices shall be consistent with all applicable Federal, State and local laws. We adhere to all personnel practices, such as minimum wages, Workers' Compensation and Fair Employment Practices. We are an equal opportunity employer and do no discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, nation origin, age, or disability with regard to employment or recruitment. The Administrator will be responsible for implementing the following personnel policies and practices. The Administrator may delegate responsibility to an Assistant Administrator as required.

Every effort will be made to hire the best person for each position. The Administrator will be responsible for pre-employment screening. As part of that screening, the Administrator will receive the applicant's fingerprint clearance and health screen in addition to other requirements prior to beginning employment at the facility.

Proof of current and valid CNA or Administrator license will be obtained prior to employment. Current First Aid and CPR training shall be presented by copy of certificate prior to employment.

The Administrator will accept either written letters or direct phone contact with the applicants past employers prior to employment.

All applicants will be required to complete an application form and interview in person.

B. WORK HOURS

The regular work week for full time employees is 40 hours (five days) per week; 80 hours (10 days) per two weeks (see schedule below) for full time employees. The regular work week for part time employees is 16 hours (2 days) per week; 32 hours (4 days) per week. The facility is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Occasionally it may be necessary or an employee to work other than his/her regular shift. Also, in accepting employment as a full time service provider, and as a part-time employee, one understands that he/she may be required to work a schedule which may include holidays, weekends, evenings and nights. Hours may be adjusted from time to time to meet the needs of our residents. It is our policy is that assignments be made in a fair and equitable manner.

CNA=Evening shift 2pm-10pm

CARE AID= Night shift 10pm-6am

CARE AID=Day shift 6am-2pm
