Abstract
In this proposal for unit 1 IP, I will be identifying a major problem that most companies now have which is lack of space and disorganization of files. This is a major problem for companies that need to regularly sift through files in order to complete any type of job like police officers, real estate agents, and other types of companies. In this portion of the proposal I will identify the problem, talk about why it is important to deal with this type of problem and a solution for it.?
Company Storage Problem Proposal Part 1
A major problem most companies have now is storage for files and other major documents for the company. This is because some companies that are older have not fully upgraded or transferred older files to the digital age yet. For newer companies they simply have not yet thought through that process as a whole. The main objective for the project will be to organize older files to be up to date and a way to keep things organized so they are easy to locate. This will be done by coming up with a system that is easy to work with and understand for anyone to use.
There are plenty of reasons why a project such as this should be done. One of the reasons is that you never know when you will need a certain file. Be it for crime or real estate there will always be a file that needs to be reopened and thoroughly checked through that someone will need. For crime it will be a cold case file that hasn't been fully logged that could be connected to a case that they are currently going through and trying to catch the killer with, and for real estate the agent could be going through other properties and similar houses/condos/etc to see what would be a good asking price for the house that they are trying to sell to the clients. It is always ideal to keep files such as these organized so they are easy to come across when the time comes to find them.
The main people who should be involved in this project are the people who will be using the files the most such as secretaries, file clerks, and anyone who has to deal with files and paperwork. This way they formalize themselves with the newly organized data while memorizing where things go at the same time. This project will also benefit them because not only will they not have to tred through twenty years worth of paper work, but it will look
