Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Moved to Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 9. Started singing on Ohristafari HiFi in San Diego, Ca. 1978-1978.
His mentor and teacher was JAH Tommy (Emperor Faith), with whom Sojie started Reggae Music Sound System in Cincinnati. He Then moved to Toronto, Canada, where he began the # 1 Sound King Israel Vibration, Night Rider, and Armageddon. Sojie, became Toronto's' # 1 Selector and singer on these sounds, and Empire band.
Proving to be the top Dancehall singer in Canada, Sojie has shared the stage with such legends as TLC, WAR, Steelpulse, The Wailers, Don Carlos, Johnny Osbourne, Bloodfire, Supercat, U-roy, Charlie Chaplin, BrigedierJerry, Sister Nancy, Sister Carol, Culture, Barrington Levy, Eeka Mouse, Dennis Brown, Errol Dunkley, The Neville Brothers, and too many more to name.
Sojie has Headlined Venues, and shows such as;
