Executive summary
The key findings of our survey are as follows:
• 76% of the respondents were male and 24% of female. This proportion reflects the population of male and female in an MBA collages. The numbers of respondent from 2 year course are in larger number as compared to 1 year course. It shows the main population comprises of 2 year program students in MBA colleges. And students are mainly lies in the age group of 20 to 30 years.
• We have found that more than 50% students at MBA institutes follow some kind of fitness regime and this ratio is more or less same across all age groups.
• It is noticed that overall fitness activity is preferred more in evening and at late evening rather than morning. Any other time of the day is not much preferred. Also, running/ jogging are more preferred during morning and sports are more preferred during evening and late evening. Sports are the most preferred mode of physical activity (31 out of 101).
• It is observed that people having smaller sessions are also irregular in having fitness session while those having longer session are also more regular in having fitness sessions. It is on expected line as more fitness conscious people will be regular as well as have longer fitness sessions.
• Most of the student agrees that they find spare times between their hectic schedule for fitness activity
