It began as a dream over 60 years ago that's when SMC founder Abe Levine first conceived of a novel idea: he would warehouse vast quantities of giftware and general merchandise, and instead of hiring a sales force, he'd put people into business for themselves selling that product! "People work harder when they're working for themselves," Abe would say. "They put their heart and soul into their work.
