Stages of Group Development Within My Organization During Project Delivery Process
In our organization, we use SCRUM methodology for any project and product implementation. During our project cycle we do experience stages mentioned below in each phase of project:
Stage Activity
Forming We usually build project team that consist of Web Developers, Architect, Designer, and QA Analyst. The SCRUM method works best with people who can learn and adapt. Knowledge and experience usually necessary but the ‘right' people would demonstrate an interest in learning and adapting to evolving requirements.
The Kick-off meeting usually setup where we introduced ourselves, provided a brief outline of our experience and asked questions about the project from Product Owners. On a deeper level the meeting usually is symbolic start,
and the first opportunity for the team to get together and collaborate.
Storming Storming is the ‘idea-generation' or ‘brain-storming' phase of a project usually we call it as Iteration ‘0'. It can also be described as the ‘jump-right-in' phase. Collaboration and knowledge sharing is absolutely necessary.
All members shared their ideas, questions and answers through meetings, instant messaging and email communications. These are the characteristics of the "Storming" phase of team development.
Norming After the storming phase things calmed down. Everyone usually become self-organized and manage their time schedule and deliverables. All team members has an equal distribution of work, The "Norming" stage can feel like it is going on forever. It is important to have daily meetings (also called scrums), to help team members keep focused on their deliverables and share their progress. Loosing momentum can sometimes kill a project, so managers use scrums to let the team quickly review what they did yesterday, what they will do today and what barriers need to be removed so they can achieve their daily goals.
Performing Usually "Performing" stage starts after completion of iteration ‘1' when Product Owners start seeing some progress on project and digital project begin to look a lot like
