Telemarketing
There are many reasons why I don’t like telemarketers calling my home. Three of these reasons are that they interrupt my family time with them. I don’t trust giving out financial information over the phone, and I don’t like always need or want the products they offer. I know telemarketers have a job to do. But I just don’t like the interruptions they cause on my phone.
When telemarketers do call my home phone I feel they are interrupting my family time. It seems that every time my family and I sit down on the table for dinner, the phone rings. Instead of spending time with my love one I end up listening to several minutes of chatter from the person on the phone. I hate to be rude and hang up in the person face. I admit that is what I something has to do to get back to my family.
I just don’t feel comfortable giving out my financial information over the phone. I don’t know the person that well. Also other hand it could be someone dishonest. I realize that not all telemarketers are not dishonest. It’s just that it makes me nervous to give out my information over the phone so everyone could hear it.
Telemarketers don’t usually offer any products that I would be interested in purchasing. It seems that most telemarketers who call my home phone try to send me some information to my mailbox. Some try to sell expense encyclopedias or even light bulbs. One telemarketer even offered to sell me siding for my brick home!
