Testing to improve educational achievements

Should student really be required to take standardize test and receive twenty four core curriculum credits in order to graduate? Although many students graduate high school, many still do not graduate their actual year they are suppose to. Many have to go back to receive one or two credits that may have been missed the previous years(s). Many are even put in remedial programs in order to pass the graduation exams, which are another part of the standardize testing. That’s why students drop out rates are so high, cause of the many test that are given. Many people thinks requiring the students to take standardize test and earn twenty four credits do not improve kid’s educational and learning standards. Which, on the other hand, some people say in order to strengthen educational standards and improve kids academic achievement high school students should be required to pass all standardize test including all five parts of the graduation exam and receive the 24 credits.

Standardize testing are a good way to test to make sure students are learning what is being taught. Students should be issued there diploma whether or not they pass or fail the many test that are given (Scott C. Bauer). Denying a diploma to the high school students on the basis of the students score on a single test created a whole new set of rules for the educational environment
