The Beach
The Beach
As I walk down to the coast from my hotel, the sand, as white and pure as snow, extends along the whole expanse of the seashore. I hear the seagulls loudly shriek as they soar gracefully above. As I step onto the beach, the soft, warm sand squishes between my toes. My nostrils detect the sweet smell of the lotion mixing with the crisp breeze off of the ocean. When I'm near the water I hear the crashing waves collide against the shore with their relaxing, rhythmic splashes like smooth jazz. Stepping into the water, I feel it's cool touch envelop my legs and slowly rise up my body as I wade out farther into the ocean. Plunging under the surface, I taste the bitter salt of the ocean in my mouth and rise back to the surface. While the sun leisurely sinks into the ocean, I see majestic dolphins leap out of the dark blue water and dive back in as if silently saying farewell to the gorgeous day.
Everyone has a place where they go to escape all the pressures and worries of life. There is always that one spot that can soothe all your problems and troubles in times of stress. For me, the beach is the ultimate cure to all of my problems. While I am there, all of my obligations are suddenly erased. As I stroll along I can feel the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. I am taken in by the soothing atmosphere that encircles me. I close my eyes, letting myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun on a scorching summer day. I am comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves represses all of my worries. I look into the cloudless cerulean blue sky and see the perfection of life. I often want to be like a seagull, seemingly drifting endlessly in the wind without a care in the world.
On a hot summer day, the only good place to go is to the beach. You would go out to the beach to enjoy the water, the sun, the activities that are happening, or just to be with family and friends. When you're at the beach, there are some very distinct smells. You can always enjoy the sweet coconut smell of sun tanning lotion that people put on themselves while they lay in the sun to roast a little bit. If you're looking for a quiet relaxation at the beach, I don't think that will work out too well. The beach is always really loud throughout the day. You can hear the loud motors of the boats and the waves of the water as the boats come crashing through. You can definitely hear the laughter and the excitement of the kids as they splash around in the ocean.
While you're at the beach you can always get involved in some fun activities, if you aren't able to relax. You can play beach volleyball or maybe some Frisbee. Overall the lake is a lot of fun to go to, to get away from the busy, smelly city that you live in. If you are there early enough, you will be able to see a beautiful, bright sunrise and if you enjoy
