The Little Foxes
The play that I read was "The Little Foxes". This play is about a scheming family who loves money and will do anything to get their hands on money. It involves a poor sick man named Horace, his wife name Regina and her evil brothers. The play takes place in the early 1900's in the Deep South. At the top of show, the maid is cleaning up and the porter. A character that I would like to portray is Horace. Horace is an older man, but not too old. He is smart, and rich and high class. He is very smart about his money, but is not to smart when it comes to choosing women. The character I think would not be a stretch for me, I think if I had a choice of a character that is not like me, and it would be Ben or Oscar. These are Regina's brothers, and they are backstabbing and greedy. It would have to be a stretch. If I had the chance to portray Horace, I think the most difficult thing for me to do would to portray his age and illness. Horace has a heart disease and is on medication.
