I. Introduction
"Experience as a general concept comprises knowledge of or skill in or observation of some thing or some event gained through involvement in or exposure to that thing or event."
Coming into my last semester as a St. John's career I knew that the great education I received at St. John's University could not be the only thing I have under my belt to succeed in life after collage. As a Finance major I have been anticipating a very competitive world that I will be interring in a post undergraduate world. After the recession in the U.S economy the job market has still not recovered to what it was before the tragedy. Only having an undergraduate degree was not going to give me the competitive edge I needed to compete in this highly rigorous Job market.
It was when I came to this realization that made me truly understand the importance and value of experience. I made it my top priority to find myself an internship that would give me the experience I needed to be better prepared in the job world. When I received the news that I was accepted into an academic internship program at UBS Financial Services I couldn't be happier. I was going into a well-established financial institution that would better amplify the power of my finance degree. In this paper I will discus my experience at UBS, what I have learned and how valuable to internship was to me.
