Wellness is defined as “The condition of good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise, and habits.” To me that is an accurate but vague definition of what wellness really is. Wellness means you are free from physical diseases, be it cardiovascular disease, cancer, obesity, anorexia, addictions, any. Wellness also includes being rid of mental disorders; two of the most widespread ones are depression and anxiety. Wellness just doesn’t come overnight I believe it has to be achieved and maintained through healthy daily practices. For one to achieve wellness one must take several actions to rid your body and soul of what is preventing your wellness. For example, a person who is a smoker and depressed. This person must first realize that he/she has a problem and in order to seek wellness something must be done. To achieve and maintain wellness it would be suitable for this person to quite smoking, for smoking is doing
