Lie or Truth?

Honest is good policy, but not the best.

This is an interesting topic to be an essay topic. Some people think that people should not tell lie at any circumstance. But some other supposes that it is reasonable to tell lies in some situation. My own opinion is people don’t need to tell truth absolutely. We can tell white lies. I will explain it to you.

People can telling white lies is better than tell truth directly.  As you know, white is a kind of kind lie. It may not hurt someone’s feeling if you can control the trick of telling white lies. For example, doctor will give a white lie to the patient that he will getting better soon to make him feel good. Actually he is going to die. Bad mood will let die fast.  At this case the doctor have to tell white lies. I don’t believe that it is right to hurt people unnecessarily. In some situations the truth has no benefits and it will only hurt someone’s feeling.

In addition, telling lies can increase the relationship between someone’s. I still remember in my middle school. My desk mate didn’t bring her homework because of negligence. Our teacher asked who didn’t do the homework. No one stand up. I keep the secret for her.  It is not deliberately. If I tell teacher the truth. She will get a punishment of standing in the front of the class for whole class. It will influence her grade. So I think I am right.

To sum up, thinking must be earlier than speaking, even when we are deciding between the truth and a lie .The truth should be told as much as possible， but I don’t believe that there is any harm in telling a white lie when the situation calls for it.
