Flipped by Wendlin Van Draanen is a magnificent, delightful novel which showed two different view points of one main story. The author was very creative while she was writing, because the book was very detailed and you understood why each character did what they did. The story seemed real, and could have happened in real life. Reading this book was a wonderful experience. There isn't one moment where you wanted to stop reading.

My favorite part of this book happened near the end. Bryce Loski tried to land a kiss with Julie Baker, the girl who he has hated and disliked for the past six years. Even though Julie was waiting for this day to come, she turned and walked away. Bryce was shocked and he just stood there, trying to reel his lips back in.

Julie Baker was a very emotional and curious person. She loved animals, and she even has a chicken coop full of chickens in her backyard. She also loved the outdoors, especially climbing the giant sycamore tree down the street. Bryce, on the other hand, was not a curious person, and didn't enjoy the sycamore tree. Bryce thought that the sycamore tree was old, and that he doesn't know why it is even there. If there is something bothering him, he can't focus and won't stay on task.

Julie has her own chicken coop and always takes good care of her animals. When her beloved dog died, she was devastated. Julie loved the sycamore tree down the street. She would always climb it and she loved the awesome view. Bryce didn't know why he was feeling these strange feelings for Julie. He couldn't do his homework, so he decided to go to bed early. He also couldn't go to sleep and ended up lying in bed.

This book takes place in a small neighborhood. Bryce moves in across the street from Julie. The setting is very important
