The TOK classes are not as easy as I thought at the beginning! Everyone expressing his or her own opinion, it's sometimes hard to hear other ones opinion because you want them to think the same way as you. You can tell them your opinion and why you think this, you can try to persuade them of your opinion but you can't change their minds. If everyone would have the same opinions, life would be too boring even if most of the people would hope that other people to think the same way as them. The two last classes we have been talking about: "Is language a way of knowing?" and "Is Language the same thing as communication?" Everyone has there own opinions so lets what mine!!
Language is defined in many ways! Language is a form of Emotion in the way that you express your way through emotions, the Behavior is also part of language, I would mostly put Emotion and Behavior in the same section even if they don't mean exactly the same thing. Emotion is more something you use to give a message. Such as if someone told you the death of a person you really liked then the emotion will me seen, you will cry, scream, just showing what you feel! Behavior is more the way you act, such as being drunk, you just won't walk straight. Writing, spiking, singing is also part of language you use words; you make send a message through those! Everything you do to give a message is language, there so many ways of communication (art, body language, sign language, they are all helping you to express yourself!)
Language is a too big word to define, language can just be everything. And people have different definitions. Language is also what you can say or not for example in culture, the black people can say the N word but the white one are not allowed! For the black using this word is just natural, it's not a way of insult but when it is said by a white person then yes it is a big insult and will show Racism. You know when you get into a fight with someone and you do the middle finger as an insult in England the meaning of the middle finger is done with the index finger and the middle finger up together!
I got lots of experience with language and communication!! When I first came to ICS, my English was worst then poor, the only words I could say was "hi",
