Murder is a terrible event that has been occurring in society for thousands of years, there are a vast number of reasons why individuals commit murder. I intend to show those reasons through out this report, by giving examples of a few individuals who have committed murder. Jeffery Dahmer Ed Gein Charles Manson and John Wayne Gacy as well as Aileen Wournous are all mass murders or serial killers. Jeffery Dahmer was born to fundamentalist Christian parents. Some believed that repressed homosexuality may have contributed to his hatred of homosexuals. When he was a child Dahmer had reportedly dissected animals that were already dead. Dahmer suffered with extremely low self esteem and alcoholism. His first victim was a 19 year old hitchhiker by the name of Steven Hicks, after picking him up Dahmer invited him to his house for drinks he killed him because “he did not want him to go”. In 1982 he moved in with his grandmother in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Against Konerak’s wishes the police turned him over to Dahmer later that night Dahmer killed him and dismembered the body keeping his skull as a souvenir.
Dahmer killed seventeen men between 1978 and 1981. Most of his victims were young, homosexual or bi-sexual black men who Dahmer subjected to sexual assaults prior to murdering them. Dahmer took photos of each stage of his victim’s death, including the sexual explicit acts he performed on his victims at each stage. Jeffrey Dahmer was officially indicted on 17 murder charges, which were reduced to 15. The murder cases were already so notorious that the authorities never bothered to charge him in the attempted murder of Edwards. trial began in July 1992.
