Mindset
Activities 1-2
The power of belief main ideas:
This video talks about how to achieve success. Everything is exemplified in life. Josh Waitzkin the "international master of agitation" did not believe he was special or smarter. That's why he had worked like everyone else.
He said: "The day we create ourselves the more we will fail."
According to the video intelligence is divided into: Growth mind-set and Fixed mind-set.
The people had this growth mind-set thought that they could change their intelligence and improve their goals while hose with fixed mindset do not improve. The key to success is not just work, dedication or perseverance, but growth mentality is essential. Everything revolves around our way of thinking.
The fixed-minded are afraid of challenges and don't accept their mistakes. Those of growth mind see failure as a lesson.
3 things we need to create a growth mindset:
1. Recognize that the growth mentality is not only positive, but supported in Science.
2. Learning and teaching others how to develop our skills.
3. Be attentive to the inner voice of a fixed mindset and learn to respond with a growth mindset.
If you think "you can not" we should add "not yet"
Developing a Growth Mindset main ideas:
This video tells about the power of "still". His first example is about children who are given a math test.
The positives said: "I love a challenge" the others "thought it was just an informative talk"
The positives understood that their abilities are created with their hard work and for that reason we can say that it has growth mindset. The others were afraid to look bad as they believed the best because of it they have a fixed mindset.
The tyranny of now in fixed-minded children is that they said that there were worse grades to theirs and that made them feel good.
In the video is compared how the fixed mindset did not has the ability to detect errors and the crack mindset if they hold the errors.
How can we build a still?
1- We should praise wisely
2- Teach children that notes are not everything.
3- Create good family relationships, friends and schools.
Children should live in a growth air freshener.
