Guide to Life
I am an 18 year old student who is undecided in which path to take in life. Id say my minds most often thoughts concern the future. I find myself thinking a lot about what will happen, if my generation will have a future and what to expect. As I sit in my living room writing this I see pictures of family, both older and younger, some who have passed on and some who have just entered the world. I think what they have been through and what their futures may be like. My grandparents have been through a lot in their lives such as 2 world wars, assassination attempts (some which were successful) and the development of healthcare. I begin to wonder if all of this has happened in their lifetimes what is in store for my generation and generations after me. Will there be a third world war, or a new epidemic, or on the positive side, will we discover life beyond ours or develop new ways in preserving our planet. I think back to my past, going through school, and what I have been through so far. 9/11 made me think a lot about life death, and war. I remember the morning in which it happened, I was sitting in my first period class when the announcements delivered the news. My teacher continued the class like nothing was going on. I did not think much of
