LOVE
The American Heritage dictionary defines love as “an intense affection for another person based on familial or personal ties.” Love, what a powerful word. Love can be defined in many different expressions. Love can be an emotion, it can be physical, can be spiritual, Love defines our existence. Love is a verb. We are in a world where love gets us through hard times and great times. So how does love feel? Love feels like indescribable words. When people think of the word love they think of happiness, sex, marriage, and the words could go on.
Where does love come from? Love is how God created us. God’s love is shown in the creation of man and women. His love is shown when he died for are sins on the cross. It is shown in how he promises us that he will come back for us one day to take us home, to Heaven. Gods’ love is evident through out the bible and creation. He also shows us his love through the mercy he gives us everyday in our lives. God defines Love.
Love can be taken in many different ways. One way is how are cultural views it. Our culture views love as just a pettiness. Sex, which is a way to show ones love for and compassion for someone, through a physical manor, is to be shared at marriage, which is abused to the absolute aspect in our day in age. The Media and Hollywood show business industry is an illustration where they look at sex as not a big deal. Sex is something shared between two people who are deeply in love saving themselves for that special night, spending the rest of their lives together. That is definite love.
