In this assignment, I was instructed to write a persusive paper on current events that affecteded me. In today's economy, it was tough coming up with just one subject. But was able to turn my attention to how our local city government is running things these days. With the Mayor Kilpatrick cutting jobs because the City of Detroit has a massive debt of over 230 million dollars, I can say that I along with so many others in this city was greatly affected with this discion, January 13, 2004 will live in empamy for the citizens of Detroit.
