Do Video Games Lead to Violence?? There are many topics that are heavily debated by the media and by individuals as a whole, and for the most part when those topics are brought up each individuals has many different opinions on the topic and aren’t too easily persuaded otherwise. It will be my task objective to influence you that Video games do lead to violent behavior. I have to admit I was stuck in the middle of my thoughts, whether I truly believed video games lead to violent behavior or it was another excuse to cover up an individuals actions, but when I really sat down to think about this topic seriously, I thought to myself even though I do believe violent video games lead to violent behaviors, it isn’t the case for every individual who plays these types of games. I do believe individuals who are easily influenced by what they see or hear are most definitely capable of mimicking and attempting to recreate what they see or what they do in video games as if it wasn’t real life. In this day and age it seems as if America's youth is becoming more violent. Concern for those aspects in our society which influence violent acts has become an issue since the tragedy at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Many feel one aspect of today's society affecting our nation's youth in a negative manner is video games. Is this form of entertainment really a factor in teen violence? I think so.
