Award initiative brought into the country by Coca-Cola India in Association with Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce & Industry (FICCI)

* President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter personally presented the prestigious award during a special ceremony

* First for any Campus-Community program to win the coveted award outside the US

* Award serves as one of the highest recognition’s for academic-service learning to educational institutions for outstanding �Campus Community’ learning programs

* Aligarh Muslim University, Punjab University & St. Agnes College(Mangalore University) were the three short-listed educational institutions in India

* The top award included a citation, a special handcrafted golden globe trophy and a cash prize of US $ 10,000.

* The 2nd and 3rd runner’s up i.e. Punjab University & Aligarh Muslim University receive citation and a cash prize of US $ US $ 3000 and US$ 2000 respectively

New Delhi, October 27, 2006: President Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter personally presented the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Partnership Award for Campus-Community Collaboration to St. Agnes College (Mangalore University). This was the first time that the prestigious award was presented to a partnership program outside the United States of America. The coveted award has been brought into the country by Coca-Cola India in association with Federation of Indian Chambers Of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) – Country’s apex industry body. The annual Carter Partnership Program recognizes educational institutions for outstanding community-reach program involving students, faculty as well as local communities.
