Huck Finn
1) Chapter 1
“After supper she got out her book and learned me about Moses and the Bulrushers, and I was in sweat to find out all about him; but by and by she let it out that Moses had been dead a considerable long time; so then I didn’t care no more about him because I don’t take no stock in dead people.”
• I feel that in this situation the person with the book which in the Window is trying to educate Huck on history, but it show that Huck doesn’t really care about history and doesn’t respect the people who are dead.
2) Chapter 2
“Here’s Hick Finn he ain’t got no family: what you going to do bout him.”
• In this scene it shows that Huck is sometimes left out and that’s because he is a orphan that he is different then everyone else.
3) Chapter 3
“I reckoned he believed the arabs and the elephants, but of for me I think different”
• Here Huck show that he does not know about arabs and elephant or he doesn’t have an imagination like the other kids.
4) Chapter 4
“I like the old way best but I was getting so I liked the new ones too, a little bit.”
• Huck is beginning to start to get comfortable to get use to the new civilization and its ways, but he still preferred the old way.
5) Chapter 5
“You’re educated, too, they say-can read and write. You think you’re better’n your father, now, don’t you, because he can’t? I’ll take it out of you.”
• Huck’s father is showing that to be able to read and write or just be smarter then your elder is bad.
6) Chapter 6
“I begged and told him I was only Huck but he laughed such a screechy laugh, and roared and cussed, and kept on chasing me up.”
• The situation between Huck and his dad was getting bad where Huck’s father did not know his son.
7) Chapter 7
“I took a bite to eat, and by and by laid down in the canoe to smoke a pipe and lay out a plan”
• Huck is starting to show name intelligence and planning for the future.
8) Chapter 8
“I didn’t sleep much. I couldn’t somehow, for thinking.
