Lawmakers Promote Health Care for Kids
The policy I will be discussing is health care. This article discusses how the government wants to ensure that kids will have universal health care. Although the plan has not yet gone into full effect, positive changes are slowly coming around.
An idea thought of by a Washington group advocating for public health benefits for children was to raise cigarette taxes substantially and use the extra money for the children. Congress has also made considerations around the cigarette tax idea that can help the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). However different state capitols are affected differently which in turn leads to some states wanting to promote the idea and others don’t.
Cost always remains a concern when governors attempt to propose universal health care. However policymakers are continually increasing ways to find a way to promote a better life for society and provide universal health care for children.
