Original Student Example of Workaholics Screen Play

John Mackey dropped out of his second university due to peruse his dream of opening a natural foods supermarket. Though his odds were against him with having no proper business training, no degree, and most importantly no money, Mackey still attempted to achieve his goal. His plan was to open the natural foods store in Texas, the carnivorous state of America, which to many seemed like a plan doomed for failure.

The unmotivated student John Mackey, and his girlfriend Renee Lawson managed to put together $45,000 between family and friends to start the business. In 1978 Mackay and Lawson opened up Safer Way. Though opening a health food store at the time was a gamble Mackey would not ignore and put to rest his passion for natural food. The gamble was well worth it, as Texans embraced Mackeys and Lawsons unlikely supermarket. With the great success Mackey began to hint to owners Mark Sikles and Craig Weller of Clarksville Natural Grocery that they soon would be put out of business. Together, they would open natural food store in 1980 that would forever change the game of the supermarket. The named their new creation Whole Foods.
