Stock Performance
I started off with searching on google, with the phrase “good stocks to invest in”. I found one article where most of the stocks recommended were companies I recognized, like McDonalds and Visa. So I went off of the recommendations and bought stock in McDonald’s Corporation, Visa Inc., and The Coca-Cola Company.
Next, I continued to go off of the one article and then invested in Wells Fargo & Co., Procter & Gamble Co., UPS, and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. Then I watched the stocks, I liked how Wal-Mart and Coca-Cola were doing so I decided to buy more of their stock. Along with investing in Copa Holdings S.A., Polaris Industries Inc., and Johnson & Johnson.
After tracking the stocks, I decided that UPS was no longer something I wanted. So I sold some of my UPS stocks. I also did not like the way Procter & Gamble Co. was doing so I sold the stocks I had invested in them. I was impressed with Copa Holdings S.A. so I bought more stocks in their company.
I liked the initial companies I invested in so I decided to buy even more stocks. I bought more stocks in Visa, McDonalds, and Coca-Cola. The following week I had the same feeling that my initial investments were smart so I bought more stocks in Johnson & Johnson, Wal-Mart and even more in McDonalds.
Following all that buying, I decided to do some selling. I sold my stocks in Wells Fargo Co., UPS, and Polaris Industries Inc. because I did not see them doing very well. I then decided that some of my other stocks were not doing well either so I let some more of McDonalds and UPS stock go.
I learned that the stock market is even more confusing than I thought it to be. Even more unpredictable than I expected. The uncertainty drove me crazy and given the option to open a real account what I would do differently is not open one at all. The up then down then up again is so immensely nerve raking. Losing money in this project made me crazy and it was not even my money or real money at all.
