The Objective of the Cholera Emergency Response Project for Haiti

The objective of the Cholera Emergency Response Project for Haiti is to improve the health and hygiene practices in order to reduce the spread of cholera and strengthen the institutional capacity to respond to outbreaks. This project has 2 components. Component 1 provides support to the government's response to cholera at the decentralized level. This Component will finance two sub-components: (a) support to a multi-sectoral approach to public primary health care; and (b) support to the health, water, and sanitation response of non-public providers. Component 2 is emergency response capacity building.
