Honesty My mother installed in me at a young age that honesty was the most important value to have. By being honest a person can gain the respect and trust needed to be successful in life. Honesty is at the top of the list for me. When faced with many difficult choices or decisions in life, honesty will always help you. You may make the wrong decision, but if you are honest you will not face bigger problems. So many times you can identify with people that are not honest and they get themselves in a worst position in the long run.

Trust I actually learned this at a young age from my father. However, it was learned backwards. I witnessed my father and his lack of trust that our whole family witnessed. He would lie to my mother and me, and still does to this day. I vowed to never be like him when it came to trust. All values are very important. Trust is very important for all levels of business. Whether working with in your specific department or depending on someone, you have to be able to trust and be trusted do the right thing. Many people are counting on someone and trust can help everything be more efficient.

Respect My grandmother taught me to respect every person that I come in contact with. Parent, teacher or coach and many other people have touched my life. If I show them respect, they would in turn show me. No matter what the situation is, respect is very important. If you are honest and trust worthy you will most certainly gain the respect of others. Once you have the respect of your peers, you will be relied on more in the workplace.
