The employees' behavior should be influenced by the norms and values of the company they work for. UBS values and promotes leadership, energy, innovation, and teamwork. UBS's values directly affect their employees along with their clients because when their employees understand what goals need to be met it allows their clients to be successful. Through leadership and knowledge sharing the employees are creating an attractive work environment and promoting excellence. Having respect for other employees and putting in the time and contribution needed to get a job done is what creates good relationships among employees. Encouraging an entrepreneurial spirit allows each employee to strive to be more creative and reach for reward and promotion. Because the companies reputation is what they value they expect all employees to conduct themselves in a proper manner. The company has Employee Assistance Programs in place to support their employees. For example, EAP makes sure employees receive benefits and salary if they lose their job to restructuring.
